My Three Year Old Know-It-All
Jackson: "I am going to broke it to pieces."
Shelly, "No, you say you are going to break it to pieces."
J: "No, I'm going to broke it to pieces."
S: "No, you're going to break it to pieces."
J: "No, broke it to pieces.
S: "No, break."
J: "No, broke."
S: "Break."
J: "Broke."
S: "Break"
J: "Broke."
S: "No. You are going to break it to pieces."
J: "No. I am going to broke it to pieces."
Then Jackson broke his hotdog bun in half.
S: "See, now you broke it to pieces."
J: "NO! I breaked it!"
Oh for the love!

Good News!

Tyler got into graduate school at BYU! We're so excited. Tyler got into their LPP program - so basically he will be able to be an administrator. He will start spring term at BYU and it's a crazy intensive 15 month program. He has to quit his job and everything, so things are going to get interesting, but it will be worth it. We both can't believe he's going to be a cougar again. It's funny because we both weren't excited about going to BYU initially and Ty never thought he would go to graduate school there. We're so happy about it though. (And just in case any of you are wondering, we are NOT ever moving back to Wymount, I don't care what Ty says or how cheap it is.)

10 Years Ago: I was halfway through my Junior year of High School and Pleasant Grove High School. I know that I was obsessing over two He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Nameds, both didn't go to my high school. I think I had my poop car (1981 brown Toyota Corrolla) so many memories with that car. Not doing too many special things. Arguing with my mom over practicing the piano along with arguing with my parents about my friends. You know, incredibly important teenager stuff like that.
On My To-Do List: Finish my laundry, work out, practice the organ, figure out where I can send Jackson to preschool, sit on the potty all day with Jackson so he doesn't pee his pants, do my visiting teaching, and figure out how I'm going to live in 5 months when my husband starts grad school.
5 places that I've lived: Be prepared, they are almost all Utah. Salt Lake City, Orem, Irmo South Carolina, Pleasant Grove, Provo, now Lehi.
5 jobs I have had: Pizza delivery driver, Subway Sandwish Artist, Pharmacy clerk, BYU library Shelver, Secretary at Faculty Support Center, JSB.
What I would do if I became a billionaire:
SOOO Many things:
Buy a house, buy my jeep, and some Jet skis, maybe a house boat.
Save money for my kids college, and get them a good trust fund.
get a new wardrobe
buy my way into nursing school
Go do humanitarian aid all over the world
Pay off my parents house and Ty's parents house, they are my parents too.
buy vacation homes
get a maid, nanny, cook, and personal trainer along with my own gym - in my house.
And anything else that sounds good.
Bad habits: Drinking Dr. Pepper, staying up late, eating cookies and smartees, watching TV.
Things I enjoy: My children when they're happy or sleeping, running, sports, reading, shopping, playing on the internet, hiking, anything in the water, mystic tanning, any type of dance, crocheting, and my husband.
Things people don't know about me: Not really anything I want to reveal except that I really want to go on the Amazing race. I want to travel all over the world and win a million dollars for it. The only downside is that you don't get enough sleep or food, and that is a big problem for me and if I go with my husband we'd both be grumps(except for after we win). Ty would do could do really well on that show, except for the fact that he's acts like he's antisocial and he hates traveling. He'd win, but be grumpy about it the whole time.
I am now tagging: Kristin, Gabby, Masha, I don't have five, everyone else I know that has a blog has already done stuff like this.

Don't Touch My Laundry Mr. Jr. Mint
So to make this post even longer, When I’m sick, I don’t care about the laundry. And when I say I don’t care, it means that I don’t care that there are mountains of clothes in my laundry room. Not that I want my husband to do it for me. He is usually not allowed to touch the laundry. And because he was trying to help, I had to get up and go sort it so that he didn’t put white towels in with navy blue ones, etc. etc. He thinks it’s fine to just throw everything in together, without pretreating I might add, which is shocking to me, especially with 2 children who are messy eaters. So now he is only washing his clothes becuase I was so annoyed. Aren’t I a wonderful wife? I am complaining that my husband is helping with the laundry, but seriously, don’t touch my laundry. (Unless you're folding it and putting it away.) I’m mean.
And speaking of mean, I have one more story to tell. The other night when my sickness was just barely coming on, I was going to the kitchen to get something, I can’t remember what, and Ty told me to grab the Jr. Mints and bring them back to our room for him. But of course I forgot. I came back empty handed and climbed into bed to go to sleep. He asked me where his Jr. Mints were, and I said I forgot to get them. So he was being funny (in his opinion) and he started bugging me to go get them. Like he couldn’t walk down the hall of our tiny condo and get them himself. He was pushing on my pillow and tapping my shoulder and shaking me for 5 minutes, all the time saying, “Go get me my Jr. Mints.” Of course I did not want to give in to such annoying behavior, but I was so tired that I ran to the kitchen, got a whole full box of Jr. Mints and dumped them all over him on the bed. Then I went into the living room and immediately fell asleep on the couch. At about 3:30 in the morning the light went on and Ty is walking to the laundry room all mad, shaking his head. He was carrying his clothes that had little circle chocolate stains, just like Jr. Mints. Then I looked at his calf and he had a whole clump of Jr. Mints stuck to his leg. He was mad at me because he fell asleep in the Jr. Mints. He said, “I hope you’re pleased with your efforts.” Jr. Mints were melted all over his favorite blanket. He came and asked me if his blanket was ruined. After I finished laughing, I told him no, and asked why he didn’t pick them up. To which he replied, “I didn’t mean to. I fell asleep, but not before enjoying some tasty treats.” Oh my gosh, he ate some and then fell asleep in them. Serves him right for not going and getting them himself. (by the way, the story is supposed to be funny. Ty and I were laughing hysterically at 4:00 in the morning. I love my husband and I don’t usually throw candy at him. To show you another example of what a good guy he is, he then stayed up from 4 to 6 in the morning with Jackson because he woke up with a fever and couldn’t got back to sleep) And this blog is extremely long. Hope you enjoyed our update. The End.

Same old same old
BUT
Something got me excited today. (It's a little pathetic) I have a show to watch! American Idol is back. Thank you. I don't know what I've been doing lately. Not cleaning my house that's for sure. You would think the writer's strike would make me more productive. I guess I have been reading a lot more books, which is good, but I have NOT been watching any shows. It's been torturous, torturous! But American Idol is back and it brought me so much joy tonight. I love to hear the good singers and see the retards. It really makes me happy. Here is a link to my most favorite American Idol audition . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iwMjpt62Ja4 I thought we should all be reminded.

Happy Birthday Jackson!
He had fun on his birthday. He sang "Happy Birthday" to himself all day long. We went to Church and after his nap we had a little party for him at my mom's house. Jackson absolutely had to have party hats and "blow things" for his party. Oh, and he needed streamers. I put streamers up in our house and when they fell or Hayden pulled some down (they were hanging from the ceiling - very tacky, but lots of fun) he would say, "Oh no! Now it's not my party anymore." It was so funny. He didn't want me to take the rest of the streamers down today because he wanted it to still be his party. Thanks Grandma Jones for the car! It is a favorite with both children. Jackson also got a little wood train set that he has been playing with non stop. He breaks the track and says, "Oh no. It's out of control! There's a broken bridge" and then fixes the track at the last second and pushes the train through. He will do this over and over and over. I had a really funny video of it, but again, that is also gone.
Also Tyler became a pastry chef. He made Jackson a Lighting McQueen birthday cake. It was awesome, but my pictures of it have now been deleted and once again I am fighting to stay calm. Jackson loved it and all day long begged to have his birthday cake. He's so funny. Anyway, pictures will come soon. We love our little three year old

The Park and the Baseball
And also I wanted to show you Hayden's most favorite ornament in the whole world. Their Grandma Jones had a "Jackson and Hayden tree" that she let Jackson decorate and that they were both allowed to touch. Hayden found a little baseball ornament and for some reason he fell in love with it. He would go to the tree and look for this ornament all the time. It didn't matter where we would put it, he would find it. He would look all over the tree, especially in the back. We thought we were so smart putting it back there, but it took him a whole second to find it.
And he's happy with himself.

Happy New Year
I hope everyone had a happy new year's eve. I have problems. For the 8th time this year, I went to be before midnight. (The other 7 were in California over Christmas. Go figure, I go to sleep at a normal time on vacation - granted, Jackson woke up every day at 5:30 or 6, so going to bed early was the smart thing to do so that I had a good vacation.) But I totally passed out last night, of all nights. I am so backward. I should go to bed early every other day, and stay up on New Year's Eve, not the other way around. But we had a fun party at my parents house. I had to come home at about 10:00 to put the children to bed, but I wanted to stay much much longer. We were having a blast with guitar hero and I am now the biggest fan. I think the next step for our family is Rock band. Anyways, I realize Guitar Hero has probably been around for a while, but I am just now discovering it and we had some awesome careers going within my family last night. It was so much fun. Anyways, I hope everyone else had a good night. I would have liked to see the ball drop, at least. Maybe this is a good sign of the year to come - I'll actually start going to bed.

Will You Smile Normally Please?!
Notice the ear.
And I saved the best for last:
So I went rockclimbing indoors for the first time today. It was really fun, but I am having problems typing because my arms and my fingers are so dead. I am going to hurt tomorrow. I didn't take any pictures. Someday I will get some when I can reach the top (and I lose 20 pounds and my butt doesn't look so big while it's squishing out of a harness - that puts a beautiful pictures in your head, I know.) But I am definately going back. Thanks Lisa and Tiffany!
