Don't Touch My Laundry Mr. Jr. Mint

I haven’t posted anything lately because nothing has been going on, except that we have been the sickie family for the last couple of days, and I haven’t downloaded any pictures since my last disaster with Jackson’s birthday pictures. I will soon though, my card is getting pretty full. So since I seem to be addicted to blogging lately, I am feeling an insatiable urge to post something. I thought I would tell a few stories about what we have been up to lately. Jackson has had the worst of being sick. He has had a fever for 3 days! It’s finally down tonight, but he just barely went to bed. He doesn’t have strep, but his throat hurts and there are puss pockets all over his tonsils. He was so mad today that he didn’t go to Church. Well, he’s been mad at anything really, but that was the only thing he got mad at today that actually made me smile. Tonight’s bedtime was disastrous. His humidifier broke so I put in one that I use in Hayden’s room. I put him to bed and he kept getting up crying and crying. He wanted to mommy to sing him songs, and then daddy to sing him songs, and then mommy to sing more songs. He was freaking out, finally he said, “Don’t turn the light off, my room will change colors.” Apparently the new humidifier has big orange light on it and it dawned on me that the bright orange light was driving him crazy. Literally, he was so tired he was going crazy. So I turned it off and finally he’s asleep. I don’t know what’s been wrong with him, except that I’m sure I’ll find out soon because I seem to be getting it. My throat is killing me and I actually feel sick, like really sick. I have felt kind of sick, where I just didn’t feel right and I thought the flu was coming on, but not this. The thought of eating makes me sick (That means something is seriously wrong for all of you who don’t know. I almost never ever lose my appetite.) And the thought of getting up and doing something makes me sick. I seriously have no energy and hopefully I feel better tomorrow because Ty has to go to work and I’ve been making him do everything, except he couldn’t play the organ for me. I had to do that today. I barely remember even being in Church. It was the weirdest experience I’ve had in a long time. I felt like I was on drugs, and I hadn’t even taken anything. Everything was so cloudy, I could barely focus on playing. I was just in a haze and I couldn’t really hear either. I hope I did ok, because I really couldn’t tell you what happened during Sacrament meeting today. I was so out of it.

So to make this post even longer, When I’m sick, I don’t care about the laundry. And when I say I don’t care, it means that I don’t care that there are mountains of clothes in my laundry room. Not that I want my husband to do it for me. He is usually not allowed to touch the laundry. And because he was trying to help, I had to get up and go sort it so that he didn’t put white towels in with navy blue ones, etc. etc. He thinks it’s fine to just throw everything in together, without pretreating I might add, which is shocking to me, especially with 2 children who are messy eaters. So now he is only washing his clothes becuase I was so annoyed. Aren’t I a wonderful wife? I am complaining that my husband is helping with the laundry, but seriously, don’t touch my laundry. (Unless you're folding it and putting it away.) I’m mean.

And speaking of mean, I have one more story to tell. The other night when my sickness was just barely coming on, I was going to the kitchen to get something, I can’t remember what, and Ty told me to grab the Jr. Mints and bring them back to our room for him. But of course I forgot. I came back empty handed and climbed into bed to go to sleep. He asked me where his Jr. Mints were, and I said I forgot to get them. So he was being funny (in his opinion) and he started bugging me to go get them. Like he couldn’t walk down the hall of our tiny condo and get them himself. He was pushing on my pillow and tapping my shoulder and shaking me for 5 minutes, all the time saying, “Go get me my Jr. Mints.” Of course I did not want to give in to such annoying behavior, but I was so tired that I ran to the kitchen, got a whole full box of Jr. Mints and dumped them all over him on the bed. Then I went into the living room and immediately fell asleep on the couch. At about 3:30 in the morning the light went on and Ty is walking to the laundry room all mad, shaking his head. He was carrying his clothes that had little circle chocolate stains, just like Jr. Mints. Then I looked at his calf and he had a whole clump of Jr. Mints stuck to his leg. He was mad at me because he fell asleep in the Jr. Mints. He said, “I hope you’re pleased with your efforts.” Jr. Mints were melted all over his favorite blanket. He came and asked me if his blanket was ruined. After I finished laughing, I told him no, and asked why he didn’t pick them up. To which he replied, “I didn’t mean to. I fell asleep, but not before enjoying some tasty treats.” Oh my gosh, he ate some and then fell asleep in them. Serves him right for not going and getting them himself. (by the way, the story is supposed to be funny. Ty and I were laughing hysterically at 4:00 in the morning. I love my husband and I don’t usually throw candy at him. To show you another example of what a good guy he is, he then stayed up from 4 to 6 in the morning with Jackson because he woke up with a fever and couldn’t got back to sleep) And this blog is extremely long. Hope you enjoyed our update. The End.

sorry you don't feel good. Let me know if I can do anything to help. I was wondering where you went, and no you didn't sound like you were on drugs while you were playing the organ.

Thank you for the update. I am soooooo sorry you didn't feel good. I hope you feel better now, or atleast - soon. Do you need some dinner? Anything? Please let me know, will you?
I think that is hillarious that your husband fell asleep in the Jr. Mints after bugging you to get them. :) I bet it made it all worth it when you saw the clump of Jr. Mints stuck to his leg. :)
