Birthday Week

It was my birthday on Sunday. Woopedy-freakin-doo. But it was fun. We went to dinner and a movie on Saturday. (We are SO original.) Do NOT go see "Year One." Just don't. I Just don't go see it. I love Jack Black. I love Michael Sera (sp?), but I hated this movie and how it made fun of the Bible and basically everything religious. I went and saw "the Proposal" with some friends last night and there was a sign in the theater that said,

"Year One is rated PG 13 for some graphic language, humor, bla bla bla.
This movie contains some religious humor.
Do not see this movie if you are easily offended."

(Only in Utah right?) But, don't go see if you're "easily offended"? Easily? I am not easily offended. Husband is not easily offended, but we were more than offended. Other than that movie I had a fun time going on one of my three dates a year with husband -- you know, our birthdays and our anniversaries. Ha ha. Oh I wish I were joking.

Anyways, we had fun with each other and Jackson and Hayden had a great time at grandma's house. They found their superhero outfits they got from a friend's birthday party and HAD to bring them.

The same friend who made their capes also brought me the cutest little cake for my birthday and somehow she remembered that funfetti was my favorite! It was so good. I was going to take a picture, but ate half of it before I found my camera. Thanks Jen! She makes the best cakes.

And here are some pictures of the big day at my Mom's. I love spending birthdays with my family and thanks to everyone for your birthday wishes. It made turning a year older more fun and bearable.

Now onto Tyler's birthday. Do people really mean it when they say they don't care about their brithday? He says he doesn't care about turning a year older he gets to do whatever he wants because it is his birthday. I have stuff I want to surprise him with, but apparently he "hates surprises" (How can you hate surprises? I don't understand.) What do I do? Should I surprise/force him to go along with my plans, or should I just give in and make him "happy" with another dinner and a movie? Did I mention kids are sleeping at Grandma's tomorrow? Saturday will be a blissful morning.
