Hayden got tubes put in his ears on Tuesday. He seems to be doing great so far. The surgery went really well and it was so fast. The Dr. told me he had another ear infection in his left ear. That would make it infection #6 or 7, I've lost count, since November, but Hayden was so good throughout the whole process. He only cried when they were taking him into the OR. They told me he would probably be hysterical and disoriented after he came out of the anesthesia, but he didn't even cry. He just cuddled with me and sucked his thumb. The nurses said he won the award for the best boy of the day. Then he came home, took a nap, and played like nothing had happened. Modern medicine is amazing. The tubes seem to be helping. He's a happy boy, and he's usually a happy boy, but at least now he's not tugging at his ears and running around with bright pink cheeks. (I don't know why, but whenever he had an ear infection, his cheeks would be bright pink all day long, but he wouldn't have a fever.) And he seems to be a little less cranky. Hopefully now his speech will pick up since he won't be hearing like he's submerged under water. Well I love our playful little guy and I'm glad that it's over. Hopefully this will help a lot and we won't have any more ear problems.
Here's a video of crazy Hayden being a ghost: (Just thought I'd throw it in there since I haven't taken any pictures in the last couple of days.)

What a good boy! I'm glad it went so well. I think it would be hard to have to have my child go through that, but it sounds like he did amazing.
I'm so glad to hear that you're already thinking that they are doing something. Hopefully these will be the trick!
I hear tubes make ALL the difference in the world! I bet not only Hayden is happy, but you are too! Congrats on having a child who can now hear! :)
