Tooth Fairy
The tooth fairy came to Jackson at Grandma Jones's house in Michigan. Jackson was so excited. SO EXCITED - To the point where he woke up multiple times during the night and at 4:30 in the morning he was awake and read to go for the day. That is 2:30 in Mountain Standard Time. 2:30!!!!! I could have killed him. After 2 hours of trying to get him to go back to bed we finally said screw it, and woke up. Anyway, he was really excited for his 2 dollars and bubblegum. Yay toothfairy.

What Happened to June?
Seriously, I can't believe it's over. I feel like I wait and wait and wait for June to come - the beginning of summer, birthday celebrations - and then it's gone! AAh, summer is going to fast!
Ty and I both had our birthdays in June. Whenever we talk about birthday celebrations we say birthday like Hayden did when he was little, so it sounds more like"Birday."
Here is the wallet that replaced my other brand new wallet that got RAN OVER by about 15 cars -or so I heard. I left it on the top of my car, on accident, and drove away so naturally it flew off the top of my car and landed in a busy road. Amazingly, my friend Lindsey wasn't too far behind me and she noticed my purple wallet, ran over it, and thought that maybe it was my purple wallet that she had just seen me drop at Wendy's. So she pulled over and risked her life in traffic to pick it up. When she opened the wallet and saw my face on my driver's license she laughed. Of course it was mine. THANK YOU LINDSEY! I seriously can't thank you enough!

I love this picture, especially the balloon placement. (The boys are in their 3D glasses from watching Toy Story 3. )
Ty thinks the above picture should be our Christmas card. Ha ha.

So anyway, we had pretty good and definitely chill "BIRDAY" celebrations. I was a little sad for this one, my last 20 something birthday. It kind of depressing, especially when Jackson acted like this all day long.

At least Hayden sang this to me over and over.Hayden singing Happy Birthday from Shelly Jones on Vimeo.

Jackson's showing him how he wrote, "Dad, I love you Love, Jackson" all by himself.
The boys took some of the cellophane(?) that one of Ty's presents was wrapped in and made capes out of them. Hayden ran around calling himself "SUPER HAYDEN" all night long until his cape finally ripped apart. Jackson was also "Super Jackson" but he wasn't nearly as into it as Hayden was.
Hayden took his super hero status very seriously.

The Cutest Thing I've Ever Seen - Again
Jackson had is preschool graduation, and this time it was for real, as opposed to last year's, which was just for fun. His preschool class did such a cute program and Jackson sang his heart out, while laughing at the same time because Tyler was copying his actions by using Hayden as his puppet. If you've heard Jackson laugh, it's even funnier when he's laughing while he's singing.
He loves his teacher Miss Dawn. He actually cried when he realized graduation meant not going back to preschool anymore. "I don't WANT to go to Kindergarten" is what I heard through his crying.
Ty got off work early and made it to the graduation and Jackson was SO excited that his daddy was there.
Here's the whole family. I love how we can crop pictures. I cropped off half my arm - on purpose.

I just thought his graduation outfit was awesome. Jackson did so great. During his speaking part he didn't even cover his eyes with his hands. Yay Jackson!
Here is a cute (and long) video sum up of his graduation.

Bowling
I took the boys bowling for the first time a while ago. We went to BYU and now I am asked constantly when we are going to go bowling again. If we are going to Provo or anything close to BYU Jackson gets really excited and says, "CAN WE GO BOWLING?" I only have pictures from my phone. I have been a slack-er lately. This is Jackson and my brother, who, when I moved out of my house, was smaller than Jackson, and now he's huge. Time flies.
so they could see the balls come up. The WHOLE time.
I love this picture of Jackson
This is the face I usually see all day long. Just imagine him whining, "heyyyyy".
I didn't get a good picture of Hayden carrying the ball, but he had to do it by himself. No one could help him and I tried to get a video of the whole process. He would pick it up and start out ok and by the time he got it to the lane, he was all bent over and then he would heave it up to the ramp thing, all by himself. I'm just glad he didn't drop it on his toes.
The saddest part of the whole thing was that even with bumper pads, I still didn't bowl over 100. I don't think I ever have. Hayden did though. He beat the pants off of me and Jackson.

Uhhhh,
I feel a little out of it lately and I'm feeling the need to blog, but I'm trying to figure out where all my pictures have gone, and where the month of April has gone. I found three pictures from the month of April that don' t have to do with Easter. So enjoy. Jackson built an ingenious little tower for his bakugon. I was just so pleased...not. And Ty let Hayden shave his face. We're exciting, I know.

OH OH OH! and Hayden's potty trained! I wish I had a picture of him running around in his underwear, but I don't. If you want to see that, just come on over. For some reason every time someone knocks on the door lately Hayden is going potty and he feels the need to come out in his underwear, or comes out in no underwear...or pants. Some days he tells me he doesn't need underwear and goes commando without me knowing. That is until I help him go potty. Then he will ask, "Mom, why do I need underpants?" To which I reply, "uhhhhh, you just do, so put them on." I've always been very persuasive.

Happy Easter!
Since it's Ty's spring break, what better way to relax than organizing the garage right? I know, he's crazy. He does this every once in a while. I swear the last time he cleaned out the garage and reorganized it was like 3 months ago. So I'm keeping track now. Today, April 4th 2010 Ty felt the need to reorganize the garage. Now I'll have a record of and I can say. You don't really need to do that already. You just did that on April 4th, and I refuse to help again. There's nothing I hate more than organizing, on a holiday.
Since we're reorganizing/cleaning the boys have had access to Halloween stuff. They've been running around in pumpkin and dragon costumes, and they've been reunited with their friends. Hayden's is named Ghost. (I'm so proud of him. He inherited my creativity.)

He's very excited.

The Blasphemy of Babes
Kids say the funniest things,
especially a 5 year old and a 3 year old
who are constantly going to Church and learning about Jesus.
The other day I was walking by the playroom
while the boys were playing.
I heard Jackson telling Hayden very matter of fact,
"Jesus Christ likes Kaleidoscopes."
Sooooo I stopped and
did a 180 to look and see what was going on.
Hayden just said, "Oh." and they kept playing,
quite happily I might add.
Jackson also just got his own,
very first, Book of Mormon.
He is so excited about it.
He walks around all day talking about how
he "Loves the Scriptures!'
He holds them constantly.
Then he'll stop and sit down to look through them.
So of course he found the pictures.
"Mom, this is Joseph Smith!"
"Yep."
"Mom, who is this?"
"Samuel the lamanite"
etc. etc.
Then he got to a picture of Jesus,
"Hayden! This is Jesus Christ!!!"
(He was very excited.)
To which Hayden looked at the picture and said,
"Oh! What's up Jesus?"

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
I'm really glad Jackson had preschool today so that he could have some kind of St. Patrick's Day celebration, even though he came home talking about "Lucky the Leprechaun" and now I'm afraid I will actually have to do something on St. Patrick's Day. The only festive thing I did today was to say, "Look, you get to wear your St. Patrick's Day shirt from Grandma Jones!" Wait, that's a lie. I did buy Hayden a shamrock sugar cookie, but that was mostly because I wanted a sugar cookie, and not because it was St. Patrick's Day. The point: Aren't their shirts cute? Thanks Grandma Jones!
Thanks for the pillow cases too! We had to include them in the picture.
This picture was not easy to come by. Can you guess which child took a fabulous nap today and which child did not? I'll give you a hint.

Good thing I love my little crazies. Hope you had a happy St. Patrick's Day!

Snow
It hasn't really snowed since January. Well, like the snow that actually sticks to the ground so your boys can sledding. I'm hoping we don't make up for it now that it's march, but it snowed recently and we put on the snow suits and headed outside. (I am secretly praying that it is the last time this season we'll go play in the snow.) The boys do love to play in it though. They were very proud of their snow castles.
Jackson loves to sled, and Hayden has apparently forgotten how. He would get scared and roll off every time.
While Jackson was sledding Hayden was busy throwing snowballs at me.
Can you see them flying through the air?
This shot was my favorite.
Let's pray the fun in the snow is over.

Brainwashing
I'm starting early.
I don't know Jackson, I just don't know. :) To any Ute fan who is taking the time to read this I respect your opinions even though I don't understand them. Really, I do. Which reminded me of a funny experience I had a while ago.

Grandpa took us to the BYU - San Diego State game.
The boys had a lot of fun. Jackson is becoming quite the BYU fan. I'm so proud. The other day Jackson's friend said he didn't like the color red. I asked him what his favorite color was and he said, "Boy colors." I told him that red was a boy color and he said, "It's because of the stinkin Utes!" I laughed so hard. This exchange has deepened Jackson's love for BYU and anything blue. On our home from the basketball game Jackson was asking about the Utes and saying he didn't like them. I told them that they don't like BYU very much and he said, "Why wouldn't they like BYU? WHY mom?"

I had a piano student ask me if I like the Utes. I said as nicely as possible that I'm not really a fan. She asked if I liked BYU and I told her yes. She looked kind of dissapointed and said in her six year old sweet little voice, "Do you think you will ever be a fan of the Utes? Can't you just like them?" Trying not to laugh I nicely said, "Well, I don't think I'll ever become a fan."
"But why?" She asked.
"Uhhhhh, I've never gone to school there?"
Then she looked at me like, "Oh, well that can be fixed." and we went on with our lesson.
No, it cannot be fixed, and it's funny because I wasn't really a BYU fan until after I started going to school there. Now there's no turning back though, so I might as well ingrain the fever into my children, right?
p.s. Is it wrong that I couldn't help noticing a drastic difference between these two teams, and then I took a picture of it? AND I cut my children's hair today. They look much better.
