The Family Stack

Jackson called this "The Family Stack."

When we're all playing, that's when it's the best. Somehow Tyler and I are always on the floor, usually in the living room. Then they get rowdy and they laugh. They jump on their Daddy and then Tyler hides under a blanket and chases them around the room, with the blanket over his head, until they giggle so hard they fall down. And then we tickle them until their faces turn purple and Hayden starts getting mad, so we stop. They recover and say, "DO IT AGAIN!" and we do it over and over and play and laugh. Someone always shouts, "GET DADDY!" and we get him and try to take pictures of us all squishing him. And during these times I'm happy. I forget that I get sad for no reason, that Jackson can't go potty, that life is hard and being a mom makes me tired. I forget, and I play, I genuinely laugh, and life is good.

and that is exactly what those moments are for. I love that he calls that the family stack, what a funny boy.

What a sweet post...thanks for sharing; it's good to be reminded to look for those simple, happy moments. Too often I let them pass me by and don't take advantage of them. But really, it's what life is all about, right?

And....that is what I call a great moment. (However many times it may happen!) Thank you for sharing Shelly! I am definitely trying hard to enjoy and find those moments daily. :) Gotta love Dog piles! :)
